The VUCA world - Volatile Uncertain Complex and Ambiguous

T here is this concept of VUCA in the organizations, which means agility and adaptability to changes. In March 2020,while all the big and small organizations were preparing for the financial year closing in India, things changed at a very fast pace which could not be anticipated even a month earlier. This world is dealing with the VUCA in its own way. There are moments of crisis in the world which have the power to change the future. This is history being written. The world after Corona will never be the same. Imagine yourself at the coffee shop in September 2020. What will you be discussing then? Everyone will be having their own stories to tell. Stories of compassion and resilience. Stories of how the world was saved from this crisis called Corona.  The social distancing has become the new intermittent fasting being practiced in this age. We value our bonds more. The way the world is standing up together in solidarity with a constructive approach despite all kinds of restrictio

The Rat Race

Today I lost a badminton singles finale at office. It made me wonder a few things. What do we want to win in our professional run.  Is this win a balanced life, a promotion, self dependency, self respect, financial freedom to make decisions, what is it? What defines this win? Every week there is a star performer and someone's performance has gone down. But the wheel keeps turning. We reflect on the moment where we lost it with a very small margin. It keeps haunting at nights. It seems we are still there, hung at that moment.. We all have failures, inexperiences, misfires..... Only way out from that hung up, is to get up and do it again and again and again, till you do it right.   Not because you are chasing someone or something. Not because we want to win.....Only because we love it... So I’m gonna keep loving what I do.. And keep doing it till the time I stop loving it....

They are what we are!

Recently I visited a facility which was acquired by my employer company. Since I had worked in a company which was very similar to this facility, I got acquainted with people there very soon. Most of them were imbibing the culture of their new employer. I was asked one common question, "How is the culture over there??" I asked "How it is over here?" They said kind, hospitable, close to nature. I said same is there. Again the curiosity continued " How are the bosses and work culture? I again asked how it was over here? they said good but at times very unpredictable, I again replied same is there. Our feelings and experiences are a reflection of the person we are. Most of the time people around us are mere reflection of who we are.

Laughter is power

When we laugh at someone, we feel safe, secure, unthreatened and even powerful. However when someone laughs at us we feel insulted and humiliated, uncomfortable even powerless. The many comedy shows on television and internet make us laugh because they make fun of others usually those who we want to mock;Politicians, bollywood stars, macho men, femisists, rich, glamorous and beautiful. We often do not se the power dynamics involved in laughter. Neuropsychologists and philosophers beleive that the humans first believed humans first laughed to express relief at passing danger, when the prey gave predator a slip or a predator after days of hunger found food. It has something to do with feelings of security and trust. Maybe thats how laughter therapy works...

SWOT on Cotton Seed Business in India

Introduction:- Cotton is an important cash crop in India. It accounts for highest value share in profits of most seed companies and hence is a growth driver of major importance. India is set to become the highest cotton producing nation as most of the seed companies are struggling to liquidate huge stock of cotton inventories. Productivity in India is quite low as compared to other nations yet there are quite few market leaders (good products) in this highly product centric market. A detailed SWOT analysis is required to understand the dynamics of Indian cotton seed market and develop focused positioning and liquidation strategies in a market which has a very thin differentiation in its various segments. Strengths:- 1.      Cotton is an important cash crop in India and plays a significant role in the national economy. Corruption Politics and Business..

Faster economic growth led to newer opportunities for Corruption instead of Business, ones associated with specialisation and expansion of an economy have led to Politics instead of Economic Growth.  Recently Mr. Arvind Kejriwal hit on our Son in law Mr Vadra , while currently our only hope for India's future, Mr Modi, was busy commenting on his Visa issues.  Felt Strange,, why he has not yet hit on his favorite target, the Congress Party. While researching more on the deals of Mr. Vadra, came across this http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-10-11/india/34385829_1_congress-s-gujarat-concessional-land-prime-land So whom to blame, in an developing economy, there are surely going to be loopholes.Cleansing has to start from within. Given an opportunity, a similar position, how many of us would not have done what Mr. Vadra has done. Is there a way out .. Yes. Curbing this mindless negativity would only be possible, if we replace this with a positive frame of mi

Ambition

I let desire … The word— grow in my heart. I feed it… Feed it every day! Untill it starts feeding me. But it does not last… Never lasts long!
