The VUCA world - Volatile Uncertain Complex and Ambiguous
There is this concept of VUCA in the organizations, which means agility and adaptability to changes. In March 2020,while all the big and small organizations were preparing for the financial year closing in India, things changed at a very fast pace which could not be anticipated even a month earlier. This world is dealing with the VUCA in its own way.
There are moments of crisis in the world which have the power to change the future. This is history being written. The world after Corona will never be the same. Imagine yourself at the coffee shop in September 2020. What will you be discussing then? Everyone will be having their own stories to tell. Stories of compassion and resilience. Stories of how the world was saved from this crisis called Corona.
The social distancing has become the new intermittent fasting being practiced in this age. We value our bonds more. The way the world is standing up together in solidarity with a constructive approach despite all kinds of restrictions on physical movement is commendable.
It also poses a question .Whether we will have the economic crisis that we are anticipating currently? Technology has now come to rescue. The production, storage, supply chain and sales systems have now dismantled and are reconfiguring in the fastest possible way. All kinds of networks will thrive in the local in the current situation. Go global but save local is the new mantra. This crisis also gives us an insight into the leaderships which we have today. Is PM Modi really infallible? Will Donald Trump stay in office by November 2020? These questions sure will be answered as the crisis ends.
Fake news is rapidly loosing its market value. Every crisis leaves behind a story. Last but not the least the images of this crisis, from Italy to China to the India will live to tell a story.
Story of a Virus who came to give a message that humanity is just another creation in this world.
